Hagerstown's defeat came about despite a quality game from Kaagen Kendall, who threw for 277 yards and three touchdowns. 88 of those passing yards were hauled in by Isaac Schmitz, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Meanwhile, Centerville gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 54-0 victory over Cambridge City Lincoln. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Bulldogs just coasted through the last quarter.
