Football Game Preview: Wahluke Warriors vs. Zillah Leopards

Wahluke hasn't had much luck against Zillah recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Warriors will look to defend their home field against the Leopards at 7:00 p.m. Wahluke has given up an average of 29.9 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wahluke is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Royal on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Warriors were outmatched by the Knights and fell 65-6. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 58-0.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Zillah, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past Ellensburg 47-13 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Leopards, who have now won four matchups by 28 points or more so far this season.

Zillah's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Wahluke, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Wahluke was dealt a bruising 50-14 loss at the hands of Zillah in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Warriors were down 29-7.
