Basketball Game Preview: River Ridge Royal Knights vs. Dunedin Falcons

Two dominant guards in Jacob Yeager and SHERWIN SIMMONS are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The River Ridge Royal Knights will venture away from home to challenge the Dunedin Falcons at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday. River Ridge is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Last Monday, River Ridge came up short against Gulf and fell 75-65.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dunedin). They secured a 68-64 W over Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate on Monday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Falcons' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while the Phoenix are ranked 122nd).

Dunedin's win came from a few key players River Ridge will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was SIMMONS, who dropped a triple-double on 17 points, 11 boards, and ten assists. The team also got some help courtesy of ZYHIR BRASCOM, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 17 points.

River Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Dunedin, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.
