The Lynbrook Vikings are taking a road trip to take on the More Knights at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Lynbrook is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Lynbrook took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Fremont 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Vikings have posted since April 1st.

Lynbrook got a big performance out of Akira Gok, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles. That's the most RBI Gok has posted since back in March of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Chao, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Lynbrook was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They are 3-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

More came out on top against KIPP San Jose Collegiate on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run third inning. The Knights blew past the Wolfpack 12-3. Considering the Knights have won 12 games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Giles Corr made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sean Selway, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of More's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 8-12 when he doesn't). Andrew Corr also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.

Lynbrook's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-15. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for More, the win got them back to even at 12-12.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Lynbrook has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like More struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Lynbrook came out on top in a nail-biter against More in their previous matchup back in April, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
