Mt. Diablo had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Elsie Allen Lobos 78-25. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-12.

Mt. Diablo got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyran Grady out in front who shot 78% from the field en route to 18 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Miller, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine boards.

Elsie Allen is on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, Mt. Diablo will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Novato at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Elsie Allen, they are taking a road trip to take on Anderson Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
