Baseball Recap: Hooker Comes Up Short

Hooker saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Justin Palacios, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. Palacios has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

Hooker's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Woodward, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-22.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Hooker will challenge Forgan at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hooker is facing Forgan at the right time seeing as Forgan is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Woodward, they will head out on the road to face off against Fairview at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Yellowjackets' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Boomers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
