Basketball Recap: Hampton Drops Season-High Score on Spruce Creek

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hampton). They managed a 58-53 victory over the Spruce Creek Hawks on Monday.

Hampton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Paris Price, who posted 18 points. Those 18 points gave Price a new career-high. Trinity Grant was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and 12 boards.

The victory got Hampton back to even at 2-2. As for Spruce Creek, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Hampton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 50-39 win against Boca Raton on the 25th. As for Spruce Creek, they have also already played their next contest, a 63-32 defeat against Lakewood on the 25th.
