Clark got themselves on the board against SA Roosevelt on Friday, but SA Roosevelt never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Rough Riders. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Rosalie Shannon made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Shannon was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kayla Woods, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Madyson Martinez, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Clark always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .690. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as SA Roosevelt only posted an OBP of .182.

Clark has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games. As for SA Roosevelt, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-20.

Coming up, Clark will face off against Reagan at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rattlers have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for SA Roosevelt, they will challenge Brandeis at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Broncos have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.63 runs per game on average), something the Rough Riders will no doubt try to take advantage of.
