It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Tulpehocken ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Schuylkill Valley Panthers. While the Trojans didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Tulpehocken's record is now 6-4. As for Schuylkill Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.

Looking ahead, Tulpehocken will be playing in front of their home fans against Kutztown at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Trojans 4.1, the Cougars 1.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Schuylkill Valley, they are taking a road trip to face off against Berks Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Saints will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
