Solon had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.8 goals) and they went ahead and made it seven on Saturday. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Cleveland Heights Tigers. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Solon's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 36th, while Cleveland Heights are ranked 238th).

Jake Ingerman and Malec Jirari scored both of Solon's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 23 goals.

Solon's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Cleveland Heights, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Solon will welcome Twinsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cleveland Heights, they will be playing at home against Valley Forge at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th.
