Basketball Recap: Livermore Comes Up Short

Livermore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 81-64 to the Amador Valley Dons. While losing is never fun, the Cowboys can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 307th, while the Dons are ranked 112th).

Livermore's defeat dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Amador Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-8.

Livermore does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Amador Valley, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Monte Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Monte Vista has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
