Recap: Millbrook Wildcats vs. Heritage Huskies
The Millbrook Wildcats were handed a three-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against the Heritage Huskies on Tuesday. Millbrook really took it to Heritage for the full four quarters, racking up a 87-51 victory on the road. That looming 87-51 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Millbrook yet this season.
Colt Langdon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 35 points. Langdon is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Olander, who scored 16 points.
Heritage's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jon Mwanda, who scored 18 points. Ryder Strand was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Millbrook pushed their record up to 8-6 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.0 points per game. As for Heritage, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.
Millbrook will be playing in front of their home fans against Rolesville at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Rolesville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 last Friday. As for Heritage, they will head out on the road to face off against Knightdale at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Knightdale focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Tuesday.
