Basketball Recap: Columbia Falls to John Paul II Catholic in First Game of Season

Columbia unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 46-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the John Paul II Catholic Saints on Monday.

Among those leading the charge was King Williams, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Lysaght, who scored seven points.

The victory got John Paul II Catholic back to even at 1-1.

Columbia and John Paul II Catholic will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Wildcats see the court they'll take on Perquimans at 7:30 p.m. on December 1. As for John Paul II Catholic, their break will end when they face Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill at 7:00 p.m. on December 1.
