After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Southwest, Maywood/Hayes Center was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Arapahoe Warriors, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wolves have posted since September 18th.

Maywood/Hayes Center got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 19-25, 31-29, 25-21, 15-8.

Lanie Soundy was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 18 assists and nine digs. That's the most assists she has posted since back in September. Ensley Lawless also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Despite the loss, Arapahoe still got an impressive performance from Suttyn Shafer, who had 20 digs and one assist. Shafer is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Maywood/Hayes Center has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season. As for Arapahoe, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-10.

Maywood/Hayes Center has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Southwest on the 28th. Arapahoe does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
