Basketball Recap: Cleveland Comes Up Short at Home Against Oxnard + How To Watch

Cleveland unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 61-52 to the Oxnard Yellowjackets on Wednesday. While the Cavaliers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Yellowjackets 21-11 in the first quarter.

Cleveland's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Haylie Paz, who shot 63% from the field en route to 17 points and three steals, and Daryl Bahingire, who posted nine points and five rebounds.

Oxnard has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Cleveland will host Verdugo Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Oxnard, they will head out on the road to challenge Avalon at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
