Basketball Game Preview: Lassiter Trojans vs. Riverwood Raiders

Two dominant guards in TJ Shinkle and Jr Leonard are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Lassiter Trojans will welcome the Riverwood Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lassiter is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.4 points per game this season.

Last Saturday, Lassiter rang in the new year with a 51-42 win over Roswell. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

It was another big night for Shinkle, who went 5 of 8 en route to 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Liston, who posted nine points.

Meanwhile, Riverwood opened the new year with a less-than-successful 72-64 defeat to Jackson. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (55), the Raiders still had to take the loss.

Riverwood has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. As for Lassiter, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.
