The Merrol Hyde Magnet Hawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 49-48 to Clarksville Christian.

Merrol Hyde Magnet lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kaleb Potter, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Potter has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Harrison Gill, who scored ten points along with three blocks and two steals.

Clarksville Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brody Cardwell led the charge by scoring 15 points along with four steals. Jesiah Sutton was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.

Merrol Hyde Magnet dropped their record down to 3-11 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Clarksville Christian, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-10.
