Softball Recap: Citronelle Comes Up Short

Citronelle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 8-1 to the Leroy Bears. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 15-0 to them when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mack Smith was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Citronelle's loss dropped their record down to 1-4-1. As for Leroy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Citronelle will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Vigor at 5:30 p.m. on March 10th. As for Leroy, they will face off against Southern Choctaw at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
