Basketball Recap: Caldwell Comes Up Short

Caldwell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Columbia Wildcats 56-25. The matchup marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Columbia to victory, but perhaps none more so than Max Keller, who went 5 for 11 en route to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Hansen, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.

Caldwell's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Columbia, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-6.

When Caldwell and Columbia next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Caldwell will take on Bishop Kelly and their three-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Columbia will try to stop Middleton's eight-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
