Volleyball Recap: Citrus Valley Comes Up Short

Citrus Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Redlands Terriers. The Blackhawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Terriers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

While Citrus Valley ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 22-25, 25-21, 25-21.

Citrus Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Redlands, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-4.

Looking ahead, Citrus Valley is taking a road trip to face off against Beaumont at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Beaumont will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Citrus Valley surely won't give up without a fight. As for Redlands, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cajon at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
