Volleyball Recap: Ponder Takes a Loss

Ponder and Bushland squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Ponder had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost six in a row.

Kennedy Simon paced Ponder's offense, picking up 27 kills. Simon got some help from Zoe Dishman and her 46 assists. Finally, Kinley Peacock kept Ponder's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Ponder's defeat dropped their record down to 30-13. As for Bushland, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 38-8.

Ponder does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bushland, they will face off against Goliad on Friday.
