Basketball Game Preview: North Shore Mustangs vs. Friendswood Mustangs

The North Shore Mustangs and the Friendswood Mustangs will round out the year against one another at at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as North Shore comes in on three and Friendswood on nine.

Last Friday, North Shore was fully in charge, breezing past Channelview 69-39. That 30 point margin sets a new team best for the Mustangs this season.

Meanwhile, Friendswood hadn't done well against Ball recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Friendswood enjoyed a cozy 52-37 win over Ball. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while the Tornadoes are ranked 448th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Friendswood pushed their record up to 16-2 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for North Shore, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.
