Baseball Recap: Gentry Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Gentry's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They skirted past the South Side Hornet 11-10. While the Pioneers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Gentry's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for South Side, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Looking ahead, Gentry will head out to challenge Siloam Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Side, they will host Rose Bud at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
