Softball Recap: Waynedale Wins Going Away Against Chippewa

Waynedale won the last time they faced Chippewa and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Golden Bears blew past the Chipps 15-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Bears.

Waynedale got a massive performance out of Ashtyn Miller, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Miller a new career-high. Kendall Rising also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Waynedale kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chippewa only managed five hits.

Waynedale's record is now 7-10. As for Chippewa, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waynedale will take on Black River at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season. As for Chippewa, they will challenge Lake Center Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
