Kings Mountain had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 78-69 victory over the Burns Bulldogs. The Mountaineers haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Kings Mountain's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Caleb Nixon, who shot 42% from the field en route to 30 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Ethan Daniel was another key player, going 8-for-12 to rack up 27 points.

Kings Mountain smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in eight consecutive games dating back to last season.

Coming up, Kings Mountain will square off against Ardrey Kell at 8:00 p.m. on December 4. As for Burns, they will take on Stuart W. Cramer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Bulldogs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
