Soccer Game Preview: Park Hill South vs. Blue Springs South

The Park Hill South Panthers will take on the Blue Springs South Jaguars at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Park Hill South sitting on five straight wins and Blue Springs South on three.

Park Hill South is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Missouri's top teams: Liberty North, who was ranked 11th at the time (Park Hill South was ranked 19th). The Panthers were the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over the Eagles on Monday. The result was nothing new for Park Hill South, who have now won 11 matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Liberty North with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Nazzal Odeh (3), Nathaniel Bartram, and Ty Zimmerman.

Meanwhile, Blue Springs South's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They won by a goal and slipped past Rock Bridge 2-1. That's two games straight that Blue Springs South have won by just one goal.

Blue Springs South's victory bumped their record up to 17-6-1. As for Park Hill South, their win bumped their record up to 17-5.

Park Hill South took their victory against Blue Springs South in their previous meeting back in September of 2023 by a conclusive 5-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
