Football Recap: Scappoose Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Scappoose and Cascade squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Scappoose had to settle for second. They were dealt a 55-19 defeat at the hands of the Cougars. The matchup marked the Indians' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Scappoose's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Will Kessi, who threw for 227 yards and a pair of TDs on only 19 passes. A healthy portion of Kessi's aerial production (83 yards to be exact) went to Drew Butler.

With the defeat, Scappoose broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-2. As for Cascade, the win keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Scappoose does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cascade, they will head out on the road to challenge Henley at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Hornets have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games.
