Soccer Game Preview: Mountain Range vs. Pomona

The Mountain Range Mustangs will square off against the Pomona Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Mountain Range managed to keep up with Mullen until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Mountain Range lost 5-1 to Mullen. The loss was Mountain Range's first of the season.

Their goal came courtesy of Guadalupe Rivas, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, Pomona came up short against Bear Creek on Tuesday, falling 5-1. Pomona were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 3-0.

Pomona dropped their record down to 2-3 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Mountain Range, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Mountain Range took their victory against Pomona when the teams last played back in March of 2016 by a conclusive 3-0. Will Mountain Range repeat their success, or does Pomona has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
