The Neah Bay Red Devils will challenge the DeSales Irish at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Neah Bay sitting on five straight victories and DeSales on 11.
Neah Bay is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They managed a 60-54 win over Garfield-Palouse. The Red Devils pushed the score to 46-24 by the end of the third, a deficit the Vikings cut but never quite recovered from.
Neah Bay's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kane Greene, who rushed for 195 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 25 yards and one TD. Greene really tore up the turf during one magnificent 82-yard run. Caleb Cummins was another major influence, as he rushed for 179 yards and ran in a TD.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Neah Bay was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 461 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Neah Bay's defensive line and their five sacks. In that department, Eugene Ray was the leader with three.
Meanwhile, DeSales faced Ocosta in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Irish claimed a resounding 56-16 victory over the Wildcats. The result was nothing new for the Irish, who have now won nine games by 34 points or more so far this season.
DeSales' win came from a few key players Neah Bay will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jason Guest, who rushed for 45 yards and a pair of scores, and also picked up 57 receiving yards and one TD. Cohen Wood was another key player, throwing for 149 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 passes.

Neah Bay's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for DeSales, their victory bumped their record up to 11-0.
Saturday's contest might be decided on the ground. Neah Bay has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 216.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like DeSales struggles in that department as they've been averaging 180.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Saturday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
