Centennial and Frontier are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2016, but not for long. The Golden Hawks will take on the Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Centennial turned things around against Stockdale on Friday. They blew past the Mustangs 51-0. The Golden Hawks' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Frontier got the win against Highland on Friday by a conclusive 41-20. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Titans just coasted through the last quarter.

Frontier's win came from a few key players Centennial will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Talen Mather, who rushed for 133 yards and two TDs on only six carries. Frontier is 4-1 when Mather posts 100 or more rushing yards, but 1-3 otherwise. Brady Campbell was another key player, throwing for 321 yards and four touchdowns while completing 81% of his passes.

Frontier now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Centennial, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-7.

Centennial came up short against Frontier in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 21-14. Can the Golden Hawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
