Baseball Game Preview: Steelton-Highspire Steamrollers vs. Tulpehocken Trojans

The Steelton-Highspire Steamrollers will venture away from home to challenge the Tulpehocken Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Steelton-Highspire can't be to happy about their upcoming road match considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home on Tuesday. They lost 18-5 to William Penn.

Ni'Shaun Ward-McMullen made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Five bases. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Shawn Williams was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Tulpehocken unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Eastern Lebanon County by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Jared Baer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on ten hits.
