Basketball Game Preview: Shoals Jug Rox vs. Loogootee Lions

Shoals is 2-8 against Loogootee since March of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Shoals Jug Rox just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Loogootee Lions at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Shoals is headed into Saturday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They had to suffer through a 71-40 loss at the hands of Vincennes Lincoln.

Meanwhile, Loogootee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Forest Park, falling 57-33. The game marked the Lions' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Loogootee's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Shoals, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Shoals might still be hurting after the 56-30 loss they got from Loogootee in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Shoals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
