Baseball Recap: Caston Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Caston couldn't beat Lafayette Central Catholic on Tuesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the third inning. The Comets came up short against the Knights, falling 24-7. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Comets of the 12-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Caston saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Holloway, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Tucker Woolever was another, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Caston's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-6. As for Lafayette Central Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Caston didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 victory against Oregon-Davis on the 8th. As for Lafayette Central Catholic, they have also already played their next game, a 15-0 win against Attica on the 7th.
