Football Game Preview: Holy Cross Lancers vs. Sterling Silver Knights

The Holy Cross Lancers will take on the Sterling Silver Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Holy Cross' victory against Lindenwold wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lancers had just enough and edged out the Lions 15-12. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Lancers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

One reason for the win was Holy Cross' imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. In that department, Patrick Klepp was the leader with three.

Meanwhile, Sterling got the win against Haddon Township on Friday by a conclusive 28-8. The Silver Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

Sterling's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Holy Cross, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
