It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Kimberly had no problem doing just that on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Appleton East Patriots as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.
The final score came out to 25-8, 25-11, 25-19.
Ava Van Vonderen paced Kimberly's offense, picking up ten kills. Van Vonderen got some help from Emma Tesch and her 20 assists. Tesch also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Finley Van Lannen, each putting up two.
Loss or not, Appleton East got some senior leadership from Zoe Wockenfus and Opal Sparkman. Wockenfus had 14 digs and one assist, while Sparkman had 11 digs and four assists.
