While Cheshire's victory against Shelton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rams sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Gaels on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rams have posted against the Gaels since September 7, 2023.

Cheshire was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-29, 25-15.

Maeve Zbikowski paced Cheshire's offense, picking up 12 kills. Zbikowski got some help from Lauren Kilpatrick and her 20 assists. Gabby Scotti controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Cheshire's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Shelton, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.

Looking ahead, Cheshire will take on Sacred Heart Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Sharks will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight. Shelton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
