Basketball Recap: Mt. Zion Takes a Loss

Mt. Zion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a hard 45-28 fall against the Trion Bulldogs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 45-40 last Tuesday.

Mt. Zion's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Trion, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Zion won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lithia Springs at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Trion, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Model at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Model will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Trion surely won't give up without a fight.
