Baseball Recap: Four Straight Home Victories for Ballard

Ballard never let their opponents score on Monday. Everything went their way against the Seattle Academy Cardinals as they made off with a 6-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Beavers.

Ballard's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Truitt Madonna, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. Bennett Klein also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Ballard's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Seattle Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-8.

Coming up, Ballard will welcome Chief Sealth at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Seahawks will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Beavers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Seattle Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Bishop Blanchet at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
