Basketball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Faith Christian's 11th in Last 13 Outings

On Thursday, it was close, but the Faith Christian Lions sidestepped the Cypress Creek Bears for a 59-57 victory.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Faith Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Omarion Mason, who posted ten points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Salot Roundtree, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 13 points and six boards.

Faith Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cypress Creek only racked up eight assists.

Cypress Creek lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Navaris Mora, who went 5 for 7 en route to 12 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Alikai Creque, who scored ten points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Faith Christian is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.1 points per game. As for Cypress Creek, they moved to 11-13 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
