The Loogootee Lions will challenge the Orleans Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Loogootee's defense has only allowed 26.2 points per game this season, so Orleans' offense will have their work cut out for them.
It was a proper cat-fight when Loogootee duked it out with North Daviess on Tuesday. The Lions were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 30-29 to the Cougars. The contest marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Lydia Hawkins, who shot 67% from the field en route to 12 points and six boards. Thanks to that strong game, she now owns an excellent 47.3% field goal percentage. Alaina Diamond was another key player, putting up six points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Orleans strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Everything went their way against Clarksville as they made off with a 56-30 win. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 23 points or more this season.
Loogootee better keep an eye on Callie Alston. She was instrumental in Orleans' win, going 7-for-17 to rack up 24 points and six boards. That's the most points Alston has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleigha Alston, who had six points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Orleans smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in six consecutive games dating back to last season.
Orleans' victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Loogootee, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Loogootee has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 33 boards per game. However, it's not like Orleans struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Loogootee was taken down by Orleans 54-24 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Alston, who shot 43% from the field on her way to 15 points and five steals.
