Baseball Recap: Stratford Gets the Win

Stratford won against Regis last Tuesday with 14 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Tigers beat the Rib Lake Redmen by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 14-3. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Redmen: they've now won eight in a row.

Drew Gage made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed four innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Gage was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jaegar Ormond, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025. Riley Spindler was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Stratford's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Rib Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stratford will square off against Gladstone on Friday. As for Rib Lake, they will face off against Three Lakes/Phelps on Monday.
