Volleyball Recap: Jal Comes Up Short

Jal suffered their biggest loss since November 7, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Tatum Coyotes. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Jal took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-18, 26-24.

Avery Henard went supernova For Tatum., getting 13 kills, 12 digs, and two aces. Henard is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had eight or more in each of the last six games she's played. Sydni Rice was another key player, getting eight kills, five digs, and one block.

Jal's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Tatum, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-5.

Jal has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Dexter on the 13th. As for Tatum, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Hagerman on the 14th.
