Volleyball Recap: Liberty Ranch Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Liberty Ranch and Escalon squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Liberty Ranch had to settle for second. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 3-0. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2017.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-18, 25-10.

Haley Smith paced Liberty Ranch's offense, picking up 12 kills. Smith got some help from Maritza Arevalo and her 17 assists. Vivian Frame controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Escalon can attribute much of their success to Emma Rangel, who had eight digs and four assists. That's the most assists Rangel has posted since back in September.

Liberty Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 14-16. As for Escalon, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-15.

Liberty Ranch does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Escalon has already played their next match (against El Dorado), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
