Football Recap: Bonita Bearcats vs. Muir Mustangs
Bonita took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). Everything went their way against the Muir Mustangs as the Bonita Bearcats made off with a 27-7 victory.
Travis Lippert looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 179 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes.
Bonita wouldn't let Muir keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. Bonita can thank Joseph Lara and Isaiah Lazarus for forcing all of them. Bonita got some further help from Noah Mikhail: he picked up a sack, made nine total tackles (1.0 for loss), and defended two passes.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bonita will challenge Ontario Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Muir, they will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Charter Oak at 7:00 p.m. on September 6th.
