Basketball Recap: St. Charles North Takes a Loss

After flying high against Glenbard North last Thursday, St. Charles North came back down to earth. The St. Charles North North Stars fell 46-39 to the Lake Park Lancers on Saturday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the North Stars came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Lancers are ranked 164th).

St. Charles North has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 21-8 record this season. As for Lake Park, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-12.

Coming up, St. Charles North will host Geneva at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Charles North is facing Geneva at the right time seeing as Geneva is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Lake Park, they will challenge Wheaton North at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Wheaton North will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Lake Park surely won't give up without a fight.
