Basketball Recap: Fordland Skates Past Laquey with Ease

Fordland pushed their score to 72 the last time they played Laquey, but on Tuesday they couldn't quite do it again. The Fordland Eagles simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Laquey Hornets 41-8. 41 seems to be a good number for the Eagles as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Fordland is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.8 points per game. As for Laquey, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fordland will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Conway at 6:00 p.m. on February 3rd. As for Laquey, they will face off against Newburg at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
