Volleyball Recap: Jay Royals vs. Laurel Hill Hoboes
It's playoff time, and Jay had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the Laurel Hill Hoboes with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The Royals have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hoboes, too.
Darby Godwin paced Jay's offense, picking up 19 kills. Godwin got some help from Bailey Lowry and her 29 assists. Lowry was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Despite the defeat, Laurel Hill saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ryleigh Rainey had six digs and two aces.
