Basketball Recap: Valley Starts Season with Loss at Home

Valley unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a hard 56-37 fall against the Taos Tigers on Tuesday. The Vikings were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in January.

Valley's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Will Bradford, who posted 12 points. Izayah Sanchez was another key player, putting up eight points.

Looking ahead, Valley is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Belen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Taos, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Aztec at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
