West Boca Raton and Spanish River are an even 5-5 against one another since August of 2016, but not for long. The Bulls will challenge the Sharks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Boca Raton is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

On Monday, West Boca Raton didn't have quite enough to beat NSU University and fell 3-2.

West Boca Raton took NSU University into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-12, 25-20, 18-25, 15-11.

Despite the loss, West Boca Raton saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sofia Maldonado had 21 assists and 11 digs. Chloe Khoury was another key player, getting 13 assists and eight digs.

Meanwhile, Spanish River was able to grind out a solid win over Suncoast on Saturday, taking the game 2-0.

Spanish River easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-19.

Spanish River's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for West Boca Raton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

West Boca Raton took their win against Spanish River in their previous matchup back in October of 2023 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Bulls have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Sharks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
