Basketball Recap: McAdams Takes a Loss

McAdams lost against Velma Jackson back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs fell 53-46 to the Falcons.

Velma Jackson found their leader in sophomore Ethan Cook, who shot 57% from the field to rack up 20 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Christopher Mitchell, who posted six points and nine boards.

McAdams' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Velma Jackson, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McAdams will host Jefferson County at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Velma Jackson, they will be playing at home against Yazoo County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
